Sarah NakawundeTemulanda (born 24 July 1969) is a Ugandan politician,teacher and accountant.[1][2][3]She served as the Mpigi District Woman Member of Parliament in the 9th and 10th Parliament.

She was a member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) on whose ticket she got to parliament.[4]

Education

She studied at Makerere University.

Went to Lugogo Vocational Training Institute.

Career

She served as the Mpigi District Woman Member of Parliament in the 9th (2011-2016)and 10th Parliament (2016 -2021).[5][3][6]She returned for the same position (Candidate for Women Representative (MP) - Mpigi District) in 2021 but lost in this election to Nambooze Teddy National Unity Platform January 2021[7][8].

She returned to teaching at Mpigi Parents Primary School .[9]Member on the Supervisory Committee Uganda Parliamentary SACC0 .[10] She recently dumped NRM and joined opposition National Unity Platform and hopes to come back to Parliament come 2026.[7][11]

Personal life

On September 2020,she changed her name from Nakawunde Sarah to Sarah Nakawunde Temulanda. .[12]In Kamengo Subcounty in Mpigi district, a fight started against Joan Lule Nakintu, who publicly condemned her behavior and demanded an apology .[13]
